Local photographer, Jason Lloyd, (Soul Reflections Photography) and wife, April, recently visited the French III and IV students and brought hundreds of his photos from their time in the Democratic Republic of Congo to share with the students to better enlighten them on the everyday social, economic, and political struggles in this French-speaking country. The Lloyds recently lived in the DRC while working out the adoption proceedings of their newly adopted son. The presentation correlates with a culture project that the French students are working on about the oral history/traditions of French-speaking countries as well as the modern-day crises that these countries are facing.
